Howdy,
In 2021, I attended a Texas A&M football game in College Station with my wife Robyn (wife of 21 years), and daughters Mia (Aggie class of 2026) and Hannah (Future Aggie class of 2035). There were over 104,000 people in the stands. I estimated that there were anywhere from 6,000 to 8,000 students wearing various straw cowboy hats (not including us old folks). Came home to Willow Park, Texas, turned on the tube and saw the same thing in the stands at TCU, University of Texas (sorry Aggies), Texas Tech, Alabama, etc. Basically, I noticed cowboy hats in all the games in the Big 12 and the SEC (no offense to the other conferences, but in Texas...this is what we watch).
One thing was missing...a way to show your school spirit on your cowboy hat! Hoss Hat Bands was born.
After discussing with my family, researching, making prototypes (which my wife lovingly corrected to ensure the look was seamless and more appealing) our first hat band was created. The first printed band off the press was a camouflage version to represent a Veteran's day game. When I saw the look on my own hat, I knew I was on to something.
